From Pitermaritzburg/Johannesburg:
Coming on the N3 Highway towards Durban from Pietermaritzburg
and Johannesburg, take the off ramp on the left
immediately before the arched Tollgate Bridge.
Beware that the N3 bends round a corner to the left
just before this junction so keep to the left to be
in the correct lane. (If you miss it take the next left
off-ramp just after the Tollgate Bridge and follow the
map). Assuming you didn’t miss the Tollgate Bridge
off-ramp, proceed up to the traffic lights by the bridge.
Turn right at these traffic
lights into Ridge Road (Peter
Mokaba Rd) going over the
Tollgate bridge, and drive up the steep hill
to the top (100m) and then turn second
left at the first
set of traffic lights at the intersection of
Ridge Road (Peter Mokaba Rd)
and Clark Road (about 200m).
Go down Clark Road over
Chelmsford Rd (JB Marks Rd)
traffic lights (200m) and at the next intersection (no
traffic lights) with Cato Road
(200m), turn right here,
go down the steep hill. At the bottom (200m) just before
it goes up again you will come to the junction on the
left with Davenport Road (Helen
Joseph Rd) and on the wall of the corner house
you will see our sign. Turn left and find a place to
park. YOU HAVE ARRIVED
as ARL is situated on the corner
of Davenport (Helen Joseph Rd) and Cato Rd, with
the entrance is on the left hand side at the top of
Davenport Road (Helen Joseph Road). Breathe deeply and

Coming from Durban city on the N3,
take the first off ramp (sign
posted exit 2, M13, Berea Rd (King Dinizulu Rd),
go left into Manning
Road (Lisa Arensa Rd) , over Moore
Road (Che Guevara Rd) and Clark
Road traffic lights and then right
at the third traffic light turn up Davenport
Road (Helen Joseph Road) , we are at the top
of the hill on the right on the corner with
Cato Rd (200m).
